Here's A Program From Link's First Tour. Rumble Was Released March 17th 1958. The Photo On The Bottom Of The Page Of Him Was Taken From His High School Photo Album! The Others On The Tour Are (Top) Jesse Lee Turner, (little space girl) Next Down Are The All American Boys, Next, Bill Parson's, (The All American Boy) Next, The Bell Notes, (I've Had It) Link Wray, (Rumble) And The Kalin Twins  (When). All Of These Were Big Hit's In 1958.

Here Is Ed Greene, World Famous Recording Engineer. Ed Recorded The Original Version Of Raw Hide And Mastered The Fender Benders Hit Instrumental XKE And Drag Strip. Ed is Still Active Today And Recently Did The Sound Work For The 2002 Winter Olympics.

Here's a rare 45, It's called Poppin Popeye AKA Ace Of Spades. The flip side was called Big City Stomp and was the sound track for one of Ray Vernon's singles called My Sugar Plum on Liberty Records. Some of these records came out with the same song title on both sides of the record!!

 

Here is Evil Angel by Link's brother Vernon. It was a top 20 chart Hit in 1957.

Here's A Release Ray Vernon Did In 1965. It Was Recorded In Nashville And Arranged By The Late Bill Justice Of The Instrumental Guitar Hit "RAUNCHY" Bill Produced And Did A Lot Of Big Sessions. Also On Background Was A Group Called "The Anita Kerr Singers" Well Known On The Nashville Circuit. This Record Got A Lot Of Airplay!

Here is Vernon's album titled "Wasted" the last album he did before he died. It was released in 1972. Vernon aka Ray Vernon died in 1979.

Here is the hard to find Swan Album we did in 1962/63. It was recently for sale on Ebay for over $400.00. This was the only album done for Swan Records.

This a group Link Produced For A&M Records I Think Around 1977/78. I Cant Remember The Exact Date. The Album Never Sold Very Well. The Name Of The Group Was "Eggs Over Easy".

Shorty Horton Links original bass player and my very close friend. He Passed away On November 11, 1974.  And  I still miss him very much today. There will never be another "Shorty"!!

Here's Link & Doug. One of the last photo's together before Doug died in April of 1984.

Doug Wray picture taken in 1973. Doug and I were like brothers and we wrote a lot of tunes together before he passed away in 1984. We were working on an album at the time.

One of the first Raymen pictures. They were called the Palomino Ranch Hands and played country music. In 1956 they recorded an album for Starday Records.

Here is Vernon Wray aka Ray Vernon, on the Milt Grant TV Show. Milt was as popular as Dick Clark with his teen dance party show. It aired every week day on Washington D.C.'s WTTG Channel 5. Milt also managed Link Wray when Rumble came out. Later Ray Vernon had a 15 minute show on right after Milt. Link and the Raymen backed him live on the show. Evil Angel was a big hit at this time. Vernon passed away in 1979.

Photos from the 3 track Shack Days. Rare photo lower left corner of Link's Mom Lillian Wray. We called her MeMaw!! she was a great lady. 1971.

Behind the 3 Track Shack where a lot of later songs were cut for Polydor Records. Here is Vernon Wray and Bobby Howard who recorded as Mordicai Jones. The Shack became world famous and was taken down piece by piece and trucked to Tucson Arizona where they rebuilt it.
